"With the British Prime Minister expected to visit the region in the next few days, Mr. Fernandes said India would wait to see whether various diplomatic efforts had succeeded in getting Pakistan to take effective action against the groups.
" 'If they should fail, then we are left with only the option that the United States exercised to deal with terrorism,' he said in an interview. Asked if he meant the military option, he said, 'That's right.' "

This website is a tribute to Why War?, one of the nation's first and most innovative post-9/11 student antiwar organizations. Born on October 22, 2001 at Swarthmore College, we were a handful of freshmen and sophmores who vocally opposed the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere. And now, seven years later, we are retiring this website as we focus our efforts on new directions.
