Controversial South African Anti-Terrorism Bill Withdrawn

"The anti-terrorism bill, designed as a reaction to the increased terrorism activity worldwide, had caused massive concern among South Africa's human and civil rights groups, including the country's trade union and several ANC members. Given its unclear definition of "terrorism", the groups feared the law could be used against peaceful activism, dissidents and protesters."

Born on October 22, 2001 at Swarthmore College, we were a handful of freshmen and sophmores who vocally opposed the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere. And now, seven years later, we are retiring this website as we focus our efforts on new directions.
